2010 Letter to the Parents

Haverford Ice Hockey Club Parents:

Another season has come to an end and another season is about to get started. We are losing 12 Senior players due to graduation and that means many of the parent volunteers will be finished as well. It is time for other parents to become involved especially at the elementary and middle school level. On May 17, 2010 we will be having elections for board positions for the coming year. If you are interested in running for any position, please email no later than May 10, 2010. There are many of areas that will always need volunteers. Here is a summary of the board positions:

President:
General supervision over the business and operations of the club.

VP of Hockey Operations:
Handles matters concerning the club in regards to ice time and schedules, in charge of the coaches, and is liaison between the board and coaches.

VP of Non-Hockey Operations:
Oversees all social, fundraising, merchandise and other non-hockey operations.

Secretary:
Record minutes of the meetings, oversee registration process, and other duties as set by the current board.

Treasurer:
Responsible for handling all financial aspects for the club.

Registrar:
Responsible for handing the USA registration and to keep rosters up to date with USA hockey.

High School Rep:
Liaison between the league and club - attend league meetings.

Middle School Rep:
Liaison between the league and club - attend league meetings.

Elementary Rep:
Liaison between the league and club - attend league meetings.

Please consider getting involved especially parents at the elementary and middle school levels so we can keep good programs working.
